Glitz & Glamour has been in the costuming buisness since 1976. The owner of Glitz & Glamour, Darlene Burgess, has costumed such internationally renowned acts as Carl Perkins and Denise LaSalle. She has also been heavily involved in dressing contestants from numerous states for the Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, America's Perfect Teen and many other pageant systems from the preliminary and state to the national competition level. Darlene began selling online in 1998. Her clients include Disney World (FL), Lionsgate Films, Cirque du Soleil, and many more large regional and national theatres. Darlene has been featured world wide in periodicals and on television, including The New Yorker Magazine, The Washington Post, and on the BBC's award winning Painted Babies television special. Recently, Darlene has begun her own line of children's pageant dresses called Glitz & Glamour Gowns for girls sizes 2T through 14 youth. Glitz & Glamour remains a family owned and operated buisness.
